in the downfall
there is a kind of poetry
as you fall flat, headfirst
you decode the very space
you rush toward inevitability
while blood boils in your veins
and your skin shrinks to a point
as you fall, you do not dream
you are not cold
only a scream leaks
from your clenched body
and spreads through the air
you remember your name
you feel contempt for the cliff
from which you hurled yourself
down, into the abyss
into the river that patiently awaits you
into which you will enter
into darkness
as into the womb you once left
how this fall now seems ridiculous
and you can't wait to hear the splash
as if the water is greeting you
and it no longer matters
how your day went
why you stopped seeing meaning
and suddenly you understand Camus
but the river you fall into
loves no philosophy
and knows no meaning
Hunting Wild Poems
thousands and thousands
of exterminated verses
the search never
becomes a notion
the metaphysics of a poem
rings within me
I am caught
there’s nowhere to go
a garden was given to me
I leap over the abyss with my tongue
where fire
remains in ashes
where
wandering echoes
condense into a chirp
the ontology of the poem
thinks for itself
in the garden, noble words grow
come, pick them
drink from the verses
the more you pick
the faster they will grow
