Birth and Family Identity
A B M Sohail Rashid was born on December 23, 1965, at the Azimpur Maternity Hospital in the capital city of Dhaka (however, according to his SSC certificate, his date of birth is January 1, 1968). His paternal home is in the Brahmanbaria district.
He is the worthy son of the martyred intellectual A B M Abdur Rahim, a sun-child who sacrificed his life at the altar of victory in the Great Liberation War, and his mother, artisan Mrs. Jhorna Rahim. He is the eldest among his parents' five children. In his family and personal life, he is the head of a happy family consisting of his wife, one son, and two daughters.
