Stay true to who you are, let love dwell deep inside,
let your heart forever carry its gentle, fragrant tide.
Hold close the ones who truly care for you,
those who turn away were never meant to stay true.
Remember,
the most beautiful rose is not the one picked by every hand,
for such a bloom will wither as quickly as it’s planned.
The most beautiful is the one adorned with thorns,
yet still, in all its freshness, every soul adorns.
So you too, my dear, don’t lay your heart bare for all to see,
for only a few will guard it tenderly.
Many would break it without a second thought,
while only the rare will cherish what you’ve brought.
Protect your beauty, wear it proud and bright,
revel in the breeze that dances through your hair so light.
Let your kindness conquer each passing day,
live your life, let your dreams lead the way.
And pay no mind to those who speak too loud,
for sadly, they lack what makes you stand out from the crowd.
Few can truly say, with honesty and grace,
