IN COMMUNION WITH GOD

Why do you sit, my child,
Why are you silent? What are your sorrows?
Once you swore to be faithful,
Faithful to yourself, without submission to others.
That mountain fairy will never bow her head.
Never, God forbid, to be silenced.
The one everyone admired,
The one who clipped her own wings,
Willed it so.
My child, apple from the branch,
What did you once promise yourself?
"Only by the path of my own dreams"!
Where did you run, my child,
Who scattered your braids?
Who took your youth?
Evil spirits, phantoms and cockroaches.
Raise your head, my fairy,
God is with you.
Under His wing you are sheltered,
Listen to Him and let your soul merge with His.
Neira Čičić is a Serbian writer, born on June 6, 2005.
She mainly writes prose and is a member of the Association of Young Artists of Culture.
Her works have been published both in Serbia and abroad.
