Poems
1. Wake wake up,
Wake wake up,
my world...
there , there
proceeds
my cruise
over Mediterranean
waters
smelling
the Hellenic,
towards shores
of Heraklion.
my ship
cleaves out
chasms
in the
ocean deep
as it steers
its way
cruising...
wonder
how deep
she cores out
its imprints
on the bosom
of Mother Earth
that pulsates
for all...
how the flora,
fauna beneath shudder at
the enormous shake
on its otherwise
complacent
play on underworld
scot free...
those entrails
of oceanic
depths, are they
clean, their
habitat
hassle free
or enmeshed with
deposits of
rash inorganic
waste...
Oh, Mother Ocean!
you the
fountain head
of our origin
on Earth
I bow before you
in all reverence!
my vessel
proceeds
pierces the
sheaves of
the dark
in search of
resplendence
that gets born
at horizons East
with the
baby cry of
the new born...
the night feeble
growing
closer
to streaks
of dawn
with promise,
Yes, yonder islands
glimmer their
greetings!
wake, wake up
my world, my spirits!
how those
encrustations
sedimented
on Mother Ocean's
lap, invite!
those islands
of solace
far, far from
the maddening
mundane...
Waves, lash on me
wash me
baptise me
with energy anew
to grab a
new world,
born fresh
and raw with
wonders
divine !

poem 2.
How I wish!
How I wish
my wingspan
spread over
those
landscapes
where nature
exudes
breath
so pure
and fresh...
there where
people dwell
in close
proximity
with nature,
respecting
each other's
space...
there where
the cukkoo
sings in full
throated ease
fluttering over
from tree
to tree
the branches
dancing in
mirth
in the
winter wind...
the clean river
meanders
feeding the
rich green
shores...
well laid
streets
bolevarded
by
orchards
offering
fruits luscious
luring..
not much
traffic,
most commuters
Cyclists
pedalling
along...
sans techy skyscrapers,
abodes simple
sweet,similar
not vying with each
for architectural
glory,
of present day
monstrosity...
hah! how one
can seek
a serene living
with no
fanare on
religion
politics...
open spaces
open
for all, birds
animals
men,
as parks,
forests,
play grounds.
life, its precious value
matters here,
caring
for all,
living in
peace,
not goaded
by compulsions
to outsmart,
making the other
less significant.
how they
show
fulfilment
lies
not in
hurting others,
be it
nature, flora, fauna
animal, man...
let our minds
grow
co extensive
with the world
around...
