Five tanka poetry By Barbara Anna Gaiardoni | A popular poet of modern Italy

Barbara Anna Gaiardoni

Five tanka poetry
By Barbara Anna Gaiardoni

after the first
meteor shower
our song
there were years
I blocked out

rain of autumn
in the distance
a whisper
paints the sky
with luminous streaks

food in fields
a brant among the ducks
in the center
of the art gallery

a soft distillate
of gentian roots
mister
save a dollar
here and there

insect seller
each one telling
a story
a treasure trove
of chitin and wings
