DIFFERENTLY SAME

Looking for safe place
To keep your memory
I travelled a lot, found out:
Sky was unsafe, clouds chirrup
Mountain unsafe, mist meddle
Ocean unsafe, fish forbid
Earth unsafe, worm whine.
Biggest of biggest hold
Bane or bug likes inside
Smallest of small hold
Little space or air to swallow.
Then I saw a peasant passing by
A Red silk wrapped urn on shoulder
I followed him, asked what it is.
"It contain my heart, Her ashes
Wherever I tire, fall
And Her ashes spread,
That place is my Ganga" he said!
Stood there rock still I.
See, other than that raw earth urn
Which was once used to put ashes
Break, merge or mingle with earth itself
What remain safer, holier than
Than this unknown Saint said?
Now my mind find solace, calm
So I now make my heart a Urn
And place YOUR memories in
Irrespective of where you stay
Or, my dear, what you say!

DOOMSDAY

When light diminish, darkness delude
Players retreat to dressing room
Birds flock set for nest
Workers aim entertainment, rest
Whores creep out, cringe and canvass
Greenery bend head and pray.
BUT when YOU go back
Undeterred on your promise...
My senses go for a graze, gasp
Beamer of despair boom boom
Nerves break down and bleed
Memory drain and leak profuse
Logic lose, limps all crumble
AND not only light, but also
Darkness doodle doomsday!

TO LIP

We sat on that garden chair
As were we doing all the time
We talked, laughed and giggled
I was always wondering,
How beautiful was HER smile
And her lucent teeth.
One day, abruptly she asked me
"What part of me attracted you the most?"
Without much brain strain
I replied 'it is your lips!'
She stared, sighed, stood up
And was as gone without a word!
Taken aback, I looked down
Lips of garden, the grass,
Looked up grinning and asked:
'Without your soft, sweet
sound emend lips
Would she ever have loved you?'
I too imagined her face without lips
The gum, teeth lump protruding.
Even luculent ivory is ugly
Without trunk to an elephant!
Without red beak parrot is ugly
Without leaves banana, banyan trees ugly
Without waves the lake and
ocean look the same
Without petal rose and lotus is same
Without doors building is just walls
Without cloud the sky look ugly
Without lip service politician is useless
Without lip expression emotions render useless
Without lip chants prayers are worthless
Without prayer, faith itself  is worthless
Without lullaby mom's love is incomplete
Without sweet talks love itself is incomplete.
Once you lug your false pride,
beauty in front of mirror and
Look into it very closely....
You'll realise what real beauty is!
Beauty is what is expressed through expressions
AND it is expressions,
That engage lips on such duties!!
