Poetry By Praise Mk Nkhoma: malawi poetry

Praise Mk Nkhoma

Dear God,

I don’t come with big words..just a tired heart and a quiet hope.
Please, give this world your peace. Let it fall like soft rain on all the places that are hurting.
Let the fighting stop, not just the wars we see, but the ones inside us too.

I ask for happiness, God. Real joy..the kind that doesn’t hide or break.
Let homes be filled with laughter again. Let children sleep without fear.
Let the streets be safe, the hearts be kind, and the nights gentle.

And Lord... I ask for me too.
Some days, I feel like I’m breaking inside...smiling outside, but carrying storms.
Give me peace that stays. Calm my thoughts. Heal what others can’t see.

Hold me, even when I don’t know what to pray.
Walk with me when I feel alone.
Be my safety, my soft place, my strength.

Let peace begin in me, and flow out to the world.
Because I know you hear me.
I know you see me.
