DOP Hesperus 359 Participates in the Official Presentation of the Establishment of the 1st Hellenic-Egyptian Community in Greece
I was truly honored to represent DOP Hesperus 359 on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the founding of this important community. As a chapter comprised of diaspora members here in Greece, we recognize the profound importance of uniting the Hellenic diaspora, promoting Hellenism, and diligently preserving our language and cultural heritage for future generations. We firmly believe that fostering strong cultural, educational, and economic ties between Greece and Egypt will lead to mutual growth and greater understanding. We wholeheartedly commend this initiative and look forward to actively supporting its goals.
As President, I represented Hesperus 359 among the AHEPA Hellas Region 25 delegation at the ceremony, held at the Culture Center of Athens “Antonis Tritsis,” following an invitation from Mrs. Fotini Gantala.
Distinguished guests included Mr. Ioannis Chrysoulakis, Chairman of the AHEPA International Committee and former General Secretary for Diaspora Hellenism and Public Diplomacy; AHEPA Supreme Governor of Europe Mr. Konstantinos Varsamis; AHEPA Hellas Region 25 representatives; as well as officials from the Egyptian Embassy, the Greek state, the diplomatic corps, the business community, and civil society.
The new Hellenic-Egyptian Community aims to:
• Strengthen cultural ties
• Support education and entrepreneurship
• Promote social cohesion and solidarity
DOP Hesperus 359 remains dedicated to promoting Hellenic values, building bridges between communities, and advancing international cooperation.
The mission of the Daughters of Penelope is to promote Hellenism, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family and Individual Excellence.
