Alexander Volny stands as a singular voice in contemporary literature—remarkable not only for his profound poetic insight but also for being the only poet known to have translated his complete body of work into another language: classical Ukrainian
His verses extend far beyond mere expression; they strive to reveal “the polyphonic harmony of the Universe,” blending allegory with sweeping historical and philosophical vision
Volny’s poetry is deeply empathetic and historically attuned. He brings cultural epochs to life, offering “realistic… psychological and moral essence” of individuals through vivid allegorical imagery
His style embraces a synergistic approach: merging scientific, spiritual, and artistic sensibilities to form what has been dubbed “the first global description of the Universe in the language of classical scientific poetry”
Ultimately, Volny's legacy lies in his commitment to using poetic language as a bridge—across time, cultures, and disciplines. His work continues to inspire a more universal intellectual and spiritual connection, inviting readers into a broader awareness of the human condition and the unfolding cosmic narrative
RHYTHM OF THE UNIVERSE
We live in our Universe,
Arranging backgrounds of life,
For even each chaotic case
Has got its own laws of strife.
The code of godly foundations
Is not superfluous, in the main,
The course of worlds’ generation
Was not thought up by God in vain.
All his creations up on high,
In various systems take up places,
And form the space they occupy,
They radiate opposed vibrations.
In this august illumination,
Which in eternity resides,
Life in some other constellation
Perchance appears or abides.
And with creation of conditions
Of energy and power space,
Good Word comes out as conception
And crowns Godly work with grace.
And thus with our great endeavour
Of the galactic world’s abode,
We try to comprehend as ever
Life which was begot by God.
Expanding ranges of cognition,
Seeing unearthly contradiction,
We long for distant, far off place,
To hug the distant vacuum space.
We look into the distance, and
Right off belief comes forth inside
Where the planet Mars shows red
And when the Venus comes to light.
Only the Jupiter looks sorry
Pronouncing laconic word,
Saying that Saturn’s mighty body
Is twined by Halo of Good Lord.
Tailed comet flying out of cycle,
Making the magic of day dreams,
Singing and dancing in a circle
Around the solar disk, it seems.
Lord purposefully made a point
Of setting up the World Creation,
So that the wholeness might promote
The spheric crystal consummation.
He put the life-asserting sun
In such a way that if some place
Something is lost for good and gone,
It will appear in something else.
For in the cycles of closed orders
There are perpetual transformations
Through the rotation of the bodies
Along with changes and renovations.
And like the ocean water, we
Depart from earth and then again
Descend from heaven just to be
Back home on mother earth as rain.
And putting us in a new frame,
Lord tells never to lose face,
By doing sensible things with aim
And cherishing Belief and Faith.
THE ESSENCE OF BEING
In the absorbing ether, there’s
As ever some alienation,
Yet in this sinful world, the years
Are running with precipitation.
You look upon the whirl of life
Like on a spirited obsession,
Greeting the birth of star above,
Or looking at someone’s life cessation.
And though the endless ether holds
The particles of certain portions,
Imbalances and disproportions
Will not forsake the clashing worlds.
For in this life, for a good cause,
With timeless Universal core,
There is, as everybody knows,
The fact of periodic law.
The Earth derives potential needs
As ever from the outer space,
And meteoritic rain recedes,
Subsides and falls upon on its face.
With energy and power links,
The Planet is beyond compare,
And with the harmony of things,
It is refined, unique and rare.
With its potentials of ages,
It replicates the World’s perfection,
And understanding of simple sages
Will hardly reach Divine Creation.
The more invisible and vague
The outer astral expanse is,
The easier silly people take
Inventions for realities.
Your little round globe, sublime,
Makes up such regulations, as
The eternal little roll of time,
Put into prison cell of hours.
Inertial motion and precession
Of power axis in the process
Creates the luminary gravitation
By means of the inductive forces.
The globe flies round the Solar sphere
Within a chronologic year
And simultaneously makes one
Whole revolution around the Sun.
With creativity in space,
The triumph of the era goes
Through turnabout of Universe
Where time destroys the Natural Course.
DEDICATION TO THE BOOK
The Book!
A realm of knowledge and intelligence,
The source of holy wisdom goal,
With benediction of the legends,
Peacemaking essence of the soul.
With good Lord’s power of inspiration,
Like story of the immortal Being,
It’s Universal bright expression
With words of wisdom, depth and feeling.
So let the momentary transience
Turn lives in starry outer space,
We show eternity in books of sciences
Of Holy Word on Mother Earth!
TO THE GENIUS OF CREATIVITY
Like the first flowers from under the snow,
And water springs from the dry barren land,
The garb of heavenly beauty does show,
The Creator's dream that's truly grand.
Like the whirl of galaxies and planets,
With a cosmic harmony so rare,
The Holy Spirit's moral sunset,
In Love desired and deeply fair.
So your great creativity,
With the harmony of worlds does grow,
Overflowing thoughts of reality,
That with inspiration, our souls do glow.
Grant the insight of the Universe's tongue,
Transforming life with wisdom's light,
That eternally from God is sung,
Spiritual expression of Immortality's might.
